Zenith and Habanos create RyJ watches for the 145th anniversary. A lot of cigar enthusiasts simply love the finer things in life. A tasty premium handmade cigar, a good glass of liquor, and often a fine timepiece. And some brands of watches and cigar makers combine their passion for these finer things.
Fuente and Hublot
The Dominican cigar manufacturer Arturo Fuente and the Swiss watch manufacturer Hublot are working together. Hublot designed and created several watches with the Arturo Fuente logos. Or with the Opus X and Forbidden X trademarks. Beautiful watches from Swiss quality with magnificent designs on both the front and the back of the watches.
Cuervo y Sobrinos & CSWC
Another fine example is the collaboration between the Swiss boutique brand Cuervo y Sobrinos and Marko Bilic from the Cigar Smoking World Championship. For years, Cuervo y Sobrinos is a sponsor of the competition. The winner gets a watch with a tobacco leaf inside. But the watchmaker also created a line for watches for the Cigar Smoking World Championship. These watches are available but in very low quantities.
Zenith & Habanos
Zenith works with Habanos for years. Together they came up with a watch for Cohiba and a series of watches for Trinidad. These rare, expensive, and hard to find timekeepers were such a success that both companies decide to create watches for the 145th birthday of Romeo y Julieta. Fun fact, Zenith is a wholly-owned subsidiary of LVMH, just like Hublot who makes the Arturo Fuente watches.
For the Romeo y Julieta watches, there are two colors. Blue for Romeo, red for Julieta. Only 145 watches are available in each color, referring to the 145th birthday. Each watch has 75 diamonds set into the bezel. The straps are alligator leather. But there is a small catch. The watches are sold as a pair in a beautiful box.
