The Spanish Dominican brand VegaFina collaborates with the Chinese Great Wall Cigar Factory for the VegaFina Fusion Edition. The second cigar is a collaboration between Jeremy Casdagli and Hendrik Kelner. Made at the Kelner Boutique Factory, the Casdagli Basilica Maduro.
That isn’t the only Casdagli feature this week. Together with Woody Ghsoubi and Najat Abdo from Club Mareva Beirut, Casdagli, Bilić, and Kelner worked on the Casdagli Origins. This small-batch release is only available at Club Mareva Beirut. Fratello hires Zev Kaminetsky as VP of Sales. Previously he worked for Drew Estate and Royal Agio USA. And the first new Balmoral since Royal Agio was acquired by STG hit the market. But only in France, Belgium, Germany, and The Netherlands. It’s a new Balmoral Añejo, this time with a 29-year-old Brazilian wrapper.
Oettinger Davidoff is releasing a new Winston Churchill Toro. But it is a limited edition. And it comes with a limited edition set of accessories as well. A table-top lighter and an ashtray. Michael Herklots, former VP of Nat Sherman, is starting a new company, Ferio Tego. And he bought the rights to produce the old Nat Sherman cigar blends. Plasencia is releasing a line extension for the Alma Fuerte line. In the modern classic Hexagon shape with a ten-year-old Colorado Claro wrapper. A.J. Fernandez created a Double Corona for the New World Oscuro line. And Stogie Roads Cigars parts way with Tabacalera Kafie.
Van Dalen Cigars recently announced a new shop in Groningen, The Netherlands. And now another shop, the sixth, will open in Maastricht under the Van Dalen umbrella. It’s not the only new shop. Dayana est. 1997 – A Cigar Store opens a second location in Jakarta. And we saw the birth of a new global grassroots organization, Cigar Rights of the World.
