VegaFina releases a German exclusive cigar. It is the fourth installment of the Exclusivo line for Germany. In the past, other countries or territories such as the Benelux were part of the Exclusivo line. It is unclear if those countries and regions still receive regional editions.
For the 2021 edition, VegaFina chose the name Tudescos. The cigar measures 5×56, making it a Robusto Extra. The cigars are made with filler from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. The binder is Nicaraguan and the wrapper hails from Ecuador. Each cigar has a nice, small, pigtail at the cap. Only 1500 boxes of ten cigars are available on the German market from April 12th
VegaFina is a brand created by Tabacalera, the former Spanish tobacco monopoly. After a merger with Seita, their French counterpart both companies formed Altadis. Altadis owns Tabacalera de Garcia, the largest cigar factory in the Dominican Republic and that’s where the VegaFina Tudescos are made.
The boxes are engraved with the VegaFina logo and decorated with a special black and silver ribbon. That ribbon also shows the colors of the German flag: black, red, and yellow. The same design comes back in the secondary band in the cigar which says ‘Exclusivo Alemania’
In the last couple of years, it seems that Altadis is paying more attention to the VegaFina brand. There are more releases, with exciting Edicion Limitada releases every year. The VegaFina Year of the Ox is available all over Asia due to a partnership with Pacific Cigar Company. And slowly but surely the cigars are seen on the shelves of American retailers.
