Either the winner of the Top 25 was already available on the Dutch market. Or if was introduced in the weeks after publication of the list. In the last few years that luck changed.

When La Flor Dominicana on the race in 2016, the brand was in between distributors. It took two years before the La Flor Dominicana Andalusian Bull reached the Dutch cigar aficionados. And even then, in limited supply. It took Ernesto Perez-Carrillo to win the top 25 to find a distributor after a hiatus for years in The Netherlands. It took almost a year before the Encore Majestic made it into humidors of retailers in The Netherlands. And last year’s winner, Aging Room, only made a brief appearance in The Netherlands years ago. But when its distributor stopped distributing premium handmade cigars, the brand vanished. Until now.
