Early 2018 cigar aficionados Johan Loomans and Brigitte Altena decided to start a cigar brand called Steenbok Sigaren. That is Dutch for Capricorn Cigars. And only six months later, the first shipment of the cigars arrived in the warehouse. The business partners are now ready to distribute to the Dutch retailers.
The cigars are Honduran Puros, rolled at Compañia Hondureña De Tabacos in El Paraiso, Honduras. That is the factory of Kuuts, Miro, Placeres, and Zapata. In an e-mail to Ministry of Cigars, Altena explained that some of those brands will be distributed by Steenbok Sigaren in the near future. The Steenbok sigaren are available in three vitolas. Those are the 3¼x47 Half Corona, the 4×50 Mini Robusto, and the 5×50 Robusto. All come in bundles of five for the fixed prices of €12 for the Half Corona, €22 for the Mini Robusto and €24 for the Robusto.
Steenbok sigaren is also the official distributor for Mombacho cigars, Kafie 1901 cigars, San Jeronimo cigars and Kafie coffee for The Netherlands.
