Sinistro Cigars coming to Australia. The young brand, founded in 2015, and Firmin Cigars found partners in each other for the distribution down under. The cigars should arrive soon, Firmin will distribute them to tobacconist nationwide. And offer them in his shop as well.
In 2015, James Agopian and Coleman Fine founded Sinistro Cigars. He had been working in tobacco retail for decades and it was time to create his brand. He went to the Dominican Republic and found a willing manufacturer with La Aurora cigars. He started blending and released three core lines. Mr. Red, Mr. Black & Mr. White like it was a scene from Reservoir Dogs. And last month, the company announced three new blends. Those are The Last Cowboy in both natural and Maduro, plus Honor amongst Thieves. And all these lines will be available through Firmin Cigars.
The core lines are all available in robusto, toro, belicoso, presidente, and Scala. The last one is a perfecto shaped cigar. The Mr. White is made from Dominican, American and Nicaraguan filler. The binder comes from Ecuador and the wrapper is Dominican. The Mr. Red has filler from the Dominican, USA and Nicaragua. The binder is Ecuadorian. The wrapper is a Mexican San Andres. The Mr. Black is made from Dominican, Nicaraguan and American filler tobaccos. The binder and wrapper come from Nicaragua.
The new line, Honor amongst Thieves is made from tobacco from Nicaragua, Pennsylvania and undisclosed origins. The binder is also undisclosed. The wrapper is Cubra Maduro from Brazil. There will be three sizes, a box pressed Toro Gordo, a Corona Gorda, and a Trompeta.
Firmin Cigars is located on the Gold Coast of Australia. The distributor runs an online shop and focuses on Cuban cigars and boutique brands. Owner and operator Trent Firmin has a long history in tobacco. For more than 18 years, Firmin was the sales and cigar consultant for Alfred Dunhill Australia. Next to that, he was also store-manager for a cigar shop before venturing out on his own. Firmin Cigars is now focussed on bringing in high-quality cigars for the Australian cigar smokers and has a soft spot for boutique brands such as Caldwell Cigars. And now Sinistro Cigars is coming to Australia through Firmin.
