Room 101 celebrates an odd anniversary. Seeing the 5th anniversary, 10th anniversary, 25th anniversary or any other obvious number is nothing new in the cigar industry. But leave it to Matt Booth from Room 101 to do something different. Booth is releasing Room 101 11th anniversary. This Edicion Limitada is made at a factory that Booth won’t disclose. It comes in one size, a 6×54 Toro. Only 1000 boxes of 20 cigars are available, and these are expected to go quickly. The cigars should arrive in American cigar stores in the week before Christmas. The blend is a secret, only known by Booth and the blender of the factory.

The Big Payback Connecticut

In 2016, Room 101 came out with The Big Payback Connecticut. The idea behind the Big Payback lines is to give back to the customers for their loyalty and getting the brand where it was. Each blend consists of three sizes, of which two large ones, for very reasonable prices. The Big Payback Maduro made a comeback earlier, and now The Big Payback Connecticut is returning. 

There are big changes between the original release and the new The Big Payback Connecticut though. Not just the blend changes, but also the factory and the sizes. The original release features an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper over a Mexican binder. The fillers are Dominican. But the new The Big Payback Connecticut is all Nicaraguan except for the Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper. The original release came in a 5×50, 6×60, and 7×70 shape. The new release features a 5 ¼ x50 Robusto, 6×54 Toro, and a 6×60 Gordo. All come in bundles of 20 or boxes of 40.

And then the factory changes from Honduras to Nicaragua. From the Camacho factory, part of the Davidoff family to the oldest factory in Nicaragua. Joya De Nicaragua is the new partner of Room 101 for this release. “This is a long-anticipated release for the Room101 family. We are honored to be working with Joya De Nicaragua to bring one of our strongest performing sub-brands back to the market,” Booth says.
