Rocky Patel introducing Hamlet Liberation Robusto in Europe. The launch will take place at the Intertabac trade show in two weeks. But next week, The Netherlands will get the European debut, during the Dutch Big Smoke. Hamlet Paredes will be at the introduction event personally.
Paredes is a famed Cuban cigar roller. He was traveling worldwide for Habanos, doing events. But in 2015, he left Cuba and started working for Rocky Patel. At first as in house cigar roller at the Rocky Patel Burn Lounge in Naples. But Patel had bigger plans for Paredes. And those plans included his own line of cigars.
With the Tabaquera by Hamlet and the Hamlet 25 years, the lovers of non-Cuban cigars got introduced to Paredes and his skills. And the third Hamlet cigar is the Liberation. Now, at first glimpse, that name could refer to his escape from Cuba and Habanos but it’s not. The name comes from the cigars that Paredes rolls at events. “At all my events, I roll all my cigars free hand. No molds. That is something liberating. I wanted to incorporate that in this blend. So, we decided to call it Liberation”.
The cigar came in one size only. That’s a 6½x55 Toro Gordo with a bullet head. And a shaggy foot that shows the fillers. The fillers are Honduran and Nicaraguan. The binder comes from Nicaragua. And the wrapper is Ecuadorian Habano. But now there’s a robusto. The robusto also has a shaggy foot. The cigars are rolled at Patel’s Nicaraguan factory, Tavicusa. That factory is located in Esteli, Nicaragua and owned by Rocky Patel and Amilcar Perez. Last year, Patel released a cigar bearing the Tavicusa name. That was to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the factory.
And now Rocky Patel is introducing Hamlet Liberation Robusto in Europe. The cigars should be available to European Rocky Patel distributors after the Intertabac Trade Show. That show is held in Dortmund, Germany from 20 till 22 September.
