A few months ago, we mentioned that My Father Cigars & Tatuaje would open a warehouse in Europe. With that move, shipping times from the warehouse to the distributors would be reduced tremendously. It also takes a lot of weight off the back of the warehouse in Nicaragua. And smaller yet more frequent orders are possible for distributors in smaller countries, due to reduced shipping costs.

Late last week, the first 20 foot container full of cigars arrived at the warehouse in Sliedrecht, Netherlands. Sasja Van Horssen, the owner of Cigaragua, Van Dalen Cigars and distributor of several brands including My Father and Tatuaje, will be running the warehouse. He has the experience as he did the warehousing for Oliva before J. Cortes bought the Nicaraguan cigar manufacturer and tobacco producer. Cortes handled warehousing for their own dry cured cigars and incorporated the Oliva brand into their own warehouse. That left Van Horssen with time and space to take on the warehousing for My Father Cigars & Tatuaje.

Once the first shipment is unpacked the international orders will be fulfilled from The Netherlands. Both Van Horssen, My Father Cigars and Tatuaje expect the distribution to international accounts to be handled quicker than before due to reduced shipping time.
