More Alec Bradley for New Zealand. Earlier this week, Ministry of Cigars published an article about the release of the Alec Bradley Black Market Filthy Hooligan 2020 and the Shamrock. The official Alec Bradley distributor in New Zealand, Canteros.nz, reached out and confirmed that the Alec Bradley Black Market Filthy Hooligan is on its way down under.
Canteros owner Grant Ovenden said that he would love to have the Shamrock too for the New Zealand cigar aficionados. But unfortunately for the fans of Alec Bradley in the international markets, that cigar is an exclusive release for the United States.

But the 2020 edition of the Alec Bradley Black Market Filthy Hooligan isn’t the only product from the American cigar brand that’s incoming. Canteros also decided to add the Alec Bradley Project 40 to its portfolio. Project 40 comes from the belief that cigars have a calming effect. And that belief is science-backed. For Project 40, Alec Bradley used Nicaraguan fillers and a Nicaraguan wrapper. The binder is a Brazilian Habano. The cigars are produced at the factory of Jesus Fuego in Esteli. Ministry of Cigars reviewed the Alec Bradley Project 40 05.50
“Project 40 is a generally accepted concept in multiple industries with the end goal to find how a service or product can have a positive impact on the mind and body. Since cigars bring people together, cause for relaxation and create positive experiences, I asked myself why this concept should not be applied to premium cigars. This was my inspiration for Alec Bradley Project 40,”Alan Rubin, founder of Alec Bradley

The sons of Alan Rubin, whom he named his company after, are in the business as well. In 2018 they released their first blend called Blind Faith. And last year they teamed up with Ernesto Perez Carrillo for the Gatekeeper. Both blends will be available in New Zealand too.
