Mombacho cigars are now available in The Netherlands. Distributor Steenbok Sigaren has received the first shipment and is ready to send the cigars to the Dutch retailers. Last December, we published an article announcing the distribution agreement between Mombacho and Steenbok.
Mombacho is the factory of Claudio Sgroi and it’s the only major cigar factory not located in or near Estelí, in the north of Nicaragua. Mombacho’s Casa Favili factory is located in the beautiful colonial city, Granada.
Steenbok Sigaren will bring two sizes of two different Mombacho blends to the Dutch retailers.
Mombacho Liga Maestro is a Nicaraguan puro. The wrapper comes from the Jalapa valley, close to the border with Honduras. The binder and the filler are from Jalapa and Condega. The blend is available in five sizes, Pequeño (4½x44), Gordo (5×54), Hermoso (6×45), Novillo (6×52), and Double Robusto (6.7×50). The Novillo and the Gordo are available on the Dutch market for €10,50 each.
The second blend is the Tierra Vulcano. This cigar has a Habano wrapper from Jalapa. The binder and filler come from Jalapa and Condega. Condega is a tobacco region located halfway between Estelí and Jalapa. The cigars come as a 4×50 Corto, a 5½x50 Clasico, a 6×44 Fino, and a 6¼x54 Grande. The last two are available in The Netherlands for €9,50 per cigar.
