Macanudo adds Gold Label Gigante. This is a 6×60 Gordo addition to the seven other sizes that are returning for the 2021 release. The Macanudo Gold Label is an annual release with a Connecticut Shade wrapper from lower primings. These leaves are often prettier on the eye with a golden sheen. The binder is Mexican San Andres with Dominican and Mexican filler.
Lauren Tilly, brand ambassador for Macanudo, says Year after year, anticipation for the annual release of Macanudo Gold Label continues to build. The brand boldly bucks the trend for powerhouse smokes with its alluringly mellow, creamy notes, offering cigar lovers the opportunity to create indulgent, memorable moments. I’m looking forward to enjoying this amazing smoke with cigar lovers across the country.”
While stock lasts
The cigars are available to retailers immediately until the inventory runs out. If the inventory doesn’t run out, then the cut-off date is July 30th. Technically that makes the Macanudo Gold Label a seasonal cigar instead of an edicion limitada. That goes for all 8 vitolas that are available this year. How big the inventory is was not revealed by General Cigars. Macanudo Gold Label was first sold in 2002. The cigars come in boxes of 25 cigars.
The sizes available are
Macanudo Gold Hampton Court Tubo (5½x42)
Lord Nelson (7×49)
Duke of York (5¼x54)
Gold Pyramid (5×54)
Gold Gigante (6×60)
If the Macanudo Gold Label will be available to retailers outside the United States is not clear. In the past, General Cigars owner Scandinavian Tobacco Group did sell the Macanudo Gold Label in Europe but if the new Gigante will reach the shores of Europe is yet to be announced.
