Jas Sum Kral releasing Nuggless. Two years ago, Jas Sum Kral broke the internet with a new cigar. A cigar that was the most talked-about cigar at the IPCPR trade show, even though it was the cigar that wasn’t allowed to be talked about. The organization told Jas Sum Kral that the brand was prohibited from displaying the cigar, from promoting the cigar, and from handing out samplers. It was the Jas Sum Kral Nuggs.
Why was the cigar so controversial? Simply because it is the first, and so far only, premium handmade longfiller with CBD. And CBD is the medical part of the marijuana plant. The cigars are a success for the Nicaraguan boutique company as many smokers claim to benefit from the infusion with CBD. There are two versions, a 20mg Habano and a 100mg Maduro. You can find reviews of the Habano and the Maduro version on Ministry of Cigars.
And now Jas Sum Kral is releasing the Nuggless. The same cigar with the same blend just without the CBD. In a press release, Riste Ristevski says “I receive messages constantly and talk to people regularly that they can’t smoke the Nuggs because of the possible drug test to create a false positive. Even though that’s impossible and I explain to them the process, they still worry. I understand it is not worth the risk for them. I decided to release the non-CBD version, same blend and all but no CBD.“
Both the Nuggs Habano and Maduro are available as Nuggless. Both in a 4 ½ x48 vitola, the same as the CBD versions. They come in bundles of 10 for an MSRP of 79.99 for the Habano and 89.99 for the Maduro. For every bundle of Nuggless sold in 2021, Jas Sum Kral will donate $1 to the Breast Cancer Society.
The cigars will debut at The Golden Leaf in Hobart, Indiana in March before a worldwide roll-out in April. The cigars are coming from Tabacalera Aragon in Esteli, Nicaragua.
For the last year, Jas Sum Kral has been sending Nuggs crops to ladies who want to show off their chests. The campaign has taken off globally. And those pictures are now in use for the packaging of the Nuggless. “So the idea was to have a Nuggs calendar for all the cigar shops to have with ladies from around the world,” Ristevski explains. “But I changed it. Now we will have the ladies in a rotation packaging cover for the cigars. Like a collector’s item.”
