J.C. Newman tasting in Bratislava, Slovakia. The Slovakian distributor Dom Cigars is hosting another of their events at the Hron Club at Dudvážska 5, Bratislava on Tuesday, December 3rd from 6 pm till late. And this time, the event spotlights three cigars from J.C. Newman. Two of the cigars are brand new to the Slovakian market. The heritage of the Newman family is Slovakian, J.C. Newman was born in what is now Slovakia.
J.C. Newman is 124 years old, and it’s the oldest still-functioning cigar manufacturer in the United States. The family has a factory in Tampa, Florida. The factory is currently being renovated to become a tourist attraction for Tampa as well. Tampa used to be the heart of the American tobacco industry. There is also a factory in Nicaragua, owned by the Newman family where their Brick House, Quorum and other cigars are made. And in the Dominican Republic, the family works with their long-time partners, Arturo Fuente. Together with the Fuente family, J.C. Newman runs a charity that has put thousands of Dominican children through school.
The tickets for the event are available via firstname.lastname@example.org and cost 40 Euro. It includes a buffet-style dinner, two alcoholic beverages, and three cigars. Those cigars are the Cuesta Rey Robusto Natural, the Brick House Mighty Mighty Dbl Connecticut and the Diamond Crown Julius Caesar Robusto.
