India gets a German CigarKing. The Nicaraguan made cigars from the German company Cigarkings will be distributed in India. On a Facebook post, CigarKings owner Philipp Kugler said “Our team at CigarKings is proud to announce our entry into the Indian Market. We aspire to cultivate a community of like-minded aficionados in India. Stay tuned!”
Kugler started the brand three days after his 20th birthday. The CigarKings Schöne Robusto was released. That cigar is made with Nicaraguan filler tobaccos. The binder comes from Indonesia. The wrapper is a Nicaraguan H2000 Rosado wrapper. The cigar is only available in a 5⅜x44 size. Slightly thinner than a regular robusto.
Just a few months later, the Dunkle Robusto saw the light. Dunkle is dark in German and it refers to the dark Maduro wrapper. It’s a naturally fermented Nicaraguan Maduro wrapper from Jalapa. The fillers are also Nicaraguan with an Indonesian binder. The cigar has the same 5⅜x44 size as the Schöne Robusto
A year after the first CigarKings release, and we mean exactly a year to the date, a limited edition was released. The Creative Edition. Artist DSORDER created the rings, inspired by the nature and animals of Nicaragua. The cigars are actually the Schöne Robusto or the Dunkel Robusto, but with that limited edition extra ring. At least, that’s the impression we get from the website.
The cigars are currently available in Germany only, but CigarKings is opening new markets for distribution. Several international cigar importers and distributors showed interest in the brand. The booth at Intertabac was constantly crowded. Ministry of Cigars will do a proper interview with Kugler soon. And write an article about the brand.
