Dominican Night in Slovakia. The cigar distributor Dom Cigar will continue their regular series of cigar nights at the HRON club in Bratislava into the new year. And the first gathering of 2020 will take place on Tuesday, January 21st.
As always, the event includes a buffet-style dinner. Two alcoholic beverages are included in the price of 40 euro and the package comes with three cigars as well. And since it’s a Dominican night, all three cigars are from the Dominican Republic.
The first cigar of the evening is the MAB Connecticut 5×60. MAB is a Dominican private label for Dom Cigar. They own the brand and distribute it in Slovakia. In cooperation with other European distributors, the cigar is available in a few other markets as well. As the starter of the night, the mild and creamy Connecticut Shade 5×60 vitola was chosen.
The second cigar of the night is the La Galera Chaveta Habano. This cigar is made at Tabacalera Palma, the factory of Jochy Blanco. It’s named after the round knife that cigar rollers use to cut the tobacco for the binder and wrapper to the right size. The La Galera Chaveta Habano has Cuban seed fillers from the Dominican Republic. The wrapper is an Ecuadorian grown Habano tobacco.
The finale on the evening is in the hands of the Gomez family, owners of La Flor Dominicana. The La Flor Dominicana Petite La Nox is the last cigar for the event. This 5×40 Petit Corona is made with Dominican fillers. The binder comes from Mexico and is a San Andres Maduro. The Brazilian wrapper is a Maduro too, making this cigar an intense smoke. Don’t let the small size fool you.
There are limited tickets available, which can be reserved via firstname.lastname@example.org until January 17th.
