CAT Cigars releasing El Coyote. Cat stands for Central American Trading, an importer and distributor for Premium Hand Made cigars in Belgium and Luxembourg. For close to twenty years, Central American Trading founder Marc D’Argembeau has been supplying the Belux countries with the best cigars available from Nicaragua, Honduras, and the Dominican Republic.
When Phillipe van Wilderode, Business Developer Belux Premium cigars, came to D’Argembeau with a request to create a superb cigar for a great price, the hunt started. As a distributor of premium handmade cigars, D’Argembeau has plenty of connections. He knows many of the best master blenders and cigar manufacturers in the world. After a lot of conversations and considerations, the duo picked Abe Flores from PDR Cigars to be their partner. And the name El Coyote? That’s the nickname of Phillipe van Wilderode for from his friends years ago.
The trio went to work with the goal to create a tasty cigar that would retail for less than 10 euro. And they succeeded. Flores came up with a blend of all Nicaraguan filler and binder. The wrapper comes from ‘the country which has become a must for quality wrappers’ according to the product sheet. The cigars are available in three sizes. Those are the 4¾x50 Intenso and the 5½x54 Robusto. The largest cigar in the line up is a 6×58 Toro Grande. The cigars are priced between €6,80 and €8,20.
The initial launch is just in Belgium and Luxembourg. But CAT Cigars is actively looking for international distributors to launch the cigars all over Europe. The combined networks of both D’Argembeau and Flores should make that easily possible. CAT Cigars is planning to release more cigars in the years to come.
