Casa Cuevas now in the United Kingdom. The cigars from the Cuevas family are slowly expanding to international markets. Last year, the Dominican cigar maker found his first international distributor in Canteros from New Zealand. And now New World of Cigars from the United Kingdom is going to import Casa Cuevas to the British islands.
The first cigars that New World of Cigars is introducing are the La Mandarria, the Casa Cuevas Reserva Maduro Robusto, and the Casa Cuevas Reserva Naturel Toro. The Casa Cuevas core line, with the Connecticut, Habano, and Maduro blends might follow in a later stage.
La Mandarria is a cigar with a story. Mandarria is Spanish for a sledgehammer and it refers to the burglary in the Casa Cuevas warehouse in Miami. Burglars broke into the warehouse using sledgehammers. They stole the complete stock of Casa Cuevas cigars including an upcoming limited edition. The Cuevas family used a negative experience to turn it into something positive. An edicion limitada referring to the burglary. That cigar was so well received that it’s not a regular production line.
The Casa Cuevas La Mandarria is a full-bodied cigar that only comes in one size. A 6×52 Toro. The wrapper is Ecuadorian Habano. The binder comes from the Dominican Republic. The filler is part Nicaraguan and part Dominican.
