Camacho Distillery Edition is now available globally. Camacho parent Oettinger Davidoff AG confirmed the worldwide release of the Camacho Distillery Edition in a press release today. The cigars put a complex spin on the barrel aging process.
Camacho cigars are the torchbearer of the legendary original Corojo leaf. A one-of-a-kind tobacco that began in Cuba and lives on in Camacho Cigars. From the beginning, Camacho cigars have stood for intense pleasure unleashed. And in recent years, Oettinger Davidoff AG updated the packaging, released new lines. But most of all, they came out with the Camacho Barrel Aged series, which are a huge success.
The Camacho Distillery Edition puts a complex spin on the barrel aging. Instead of aging the tobacco in a regular bourbon or rum barrel, the bourbon barrels for the Distillery Edition are charred first. Then the Corojo tobacco gets to age inside the barrel for six months. That creates a unique deep flavor with spice, but without the power. That Corojo is then used to create the Camacho Distillery Edition. The blend consists Honduran, Dominican and Ecuadorian tobacco. It’s a limited edition, in a toro size with a Connecticut Shade wrapper.
«After its successful launch in the United States, we are excited to introduce the Camacho Connecticut Distillery Edition to the rest of the world offering fans and aficionados alike our top-selling core line blend, with a twist. Reimagining tobacco refinement and challenging the status quo is a daily motivation for our Master Builders in Honduras. The result is outstanding, offering a sweeter and rounder taste experience,» states Edward Simon, Chief Marketing Officer of Oettinger Davidoff AG in a press release.
Oettinger Davidoff said that the Camacho Connecticut Distillery Edition will be available in select markets as of October 2019.
