Balmoral Añejo XO Connecticut coming to Europe. In the last few years, Royal Agio has steadily been growing the Balmoral Añejo series with new blends and sizes. That includes the Balmoral Añejo XO Connecticut, which was released in the United States last year.
Even though Royal Agio is a European company with roots in The Netherlands, the company has released some of the new blends in the United States first. Not only this Balmoral Añejo XO Connecticut was released overseas first, but the American cigar lovers are also the first to try two new San Pedro de Macorís blends. Those are the San Pedro de Macoris Nicaragua and the San Pedro de Macoris Sun Grown.
But now the Balmoral Añejo XO Connecticut is coming to Europe. The cigar will first be released in Germany. That will be this week, and next week Switzerland will receive the line. Other European countries will have to wait a little longer. Belgium, The Netherlands, and France are all expected to get the cigars later this year.
Balmoral Añejo XO Connecticut
The Balmoral Añejo XO Connecticut is made from some rare tobaccos. The filler contains a rarely used Pennsylvania 41 tobacco, mixed with Dominican Olor. And as a finishing touch, some exclusive Brazilian Mata Norte tobacco is used. That tobacco comes from the Mata Norte region of Brazil. The binder is Sumatra but from a twenty-year-old crop. The tobacco was harvested in 1999. The wrapper is true Connecticut Shade, coming from the Connecticut River Valley.
The cigar comes in five different sizes. The Torpedo MK25 with a length of 6¼ and a ring of 52. The Gran Toro measures 6×52. There is a Rothschild Masivo from 5×55. Then there is a Corona measuring 5⅞x42. And finally, there is a Petit Robusto FT from 4¼x48. All these sizes will be available.
