Cornelius & Anthony is branching out into Africa. Courtney Smith, director of brand development for the Virginia based tobacco company confirmed to Ministry of Cigars that the Angolan distributor Primazia Decorama will distribute the brand in the west southern African country.
Cornelius & Anthony is the premium cigars division of S&B Brands, a family business that has been growing and cultivating tobacco for a century and a half in Virginia, USA. A few years ago the company decided to add premium handmade cigars to their portfolio. Most of the cigars are made at Erik Espinosa’s factory, La Zona, in downtown Esteli, Nicaragua. Other lines are produced in the cozy factory of El Titan de Bronze on the famous 8 SW street in Miami, better known as Calle Ocho. For those that not know El Titan de Bronze, that’s the factory where Drew Estate’s Willy Herrera made his first steps into the tobacco business.
Cornelius and Anthony has a few core lines. The Cornelius is made at El Titan de Bronze. The Daddy Mac, Venganza, Meridian, Aerial and the Señor
Primazia Decorama is one of the fastest growing distributors in Angola, with a flagship store Mens Emporium in Luanda, the capital of the country. In recent months, the company signed agreements with Gurkha, A. Turrent and Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust. Now Cornelius & Anthony is added to the family, that also includes Oliva, Plasencia, Joya de Nicaragua, Padron, Drew Estate, C.A.O ., and Macanudo.
