Alec Bradley Shamrocks for The Netherlands. Even though St Patrick’s day has passed, the Alec Bradley Filthy Hooligan and the Alec Bradley Shamrock are coming to The Netherlands. For years, Alec Bradley has made an annual limited edition with Candela wrapper for this occasion, the Filthy Hooligan.
In the first few years, the Filthy Hooligan was just a Candela wrapped version of the popular Alec Bradley Black Market. But after three years, the cigar was blended again. And this time, Alec Bradley opted for a barberpole style wrapper. With Candela from Honduras and Habano from Nicaragua. Last year, Alec Bradley introduces an offspring. The Alec Bradley Shamrock.
The Alec Bradley Shamrock took the barber pole to a new level. Not two, but three different tobaccos are used. Candela from Honduras, Habano Maduro and Habano Seco from Nicaragua. The rest of the blend is undisclosed. For 2020, Alec Bradley made 1500 boxes of 10 cigars.
The Dutch distributor for Alec Bradley told Ministry of Cigars that he ordered the cigars. But the cigars haven’t arrived yet, the shipment is delayed due to the covid-19 pandemic. That causes flights to be canceled and shipments to be delayed. But the cigars will arrive eventually the distributor assured.
The cigars are produced in Honduras. But not at the Raices Cubana factory, where most Alec Bradley cigars are produced. Tabacos de Oriente Honduras, the Honduran factory of Plasencia, is responsible for the manufacturing of the Alec Bradley Filthy Hooligan and the Alec Bradley Shamrock. Plasencia and Alec Bradley work together for other cigars too, such as the Nica Pura. But those are made at the Plasencia factory in Esteli, Nicaragua.
