Alec Bradley Magic Toast is now available in Guatemala. The Latin American country is the next country to release the cigars that got introduced internationally last year. The introduction took place at the Intertabac trade show in Dortmund, Germany.
Guatemala is the northern neighbor of Honduras, where most Alec Bradley cigars are made. Most of their offerings are made at Fábrica de Tabacos Raíces Cubanas S. de R.L., although some cigars are made at the Plasencia factory in Nicaragua.
The Magic Toast got his name during a trip that Alan Rubin and Ralph Montero from Alec Bradley made to Honduras. Because of a delay in the flight, the duo lacked time to go to the factory. Instead, they went straight to one of the tobacco fields to sample the new crop. After smoking some samples straight from the curing barn, they found the tobacco to be extremely good. They toasted on it, hence the name, Magic Toast.
The Magic Toast comes in three vitolas. The smallest is a 5×52 Robusto, then there is a 6×52 Toro. The biggest offering is 6×60 Gordo. The cigar is a mixture of Nicaraguan and Honduran tobaccos. The filler comes from both countries. The cigar sports a double binder, also from both countries. The wrapper comes from Honduras.
The release of the cigars in Guatemala was during a special launching event. Some pictures of the event were shared by Alec Bradley Guatemala on their facebook page. The distributor carries a wide range of Alec Bradley lines, from the Coyol to the Prensado, from the Lineage to the Filthy Hooligan and the American Classic lines.
