A new Alec Bradley Orchant Seleccion. In 2018, Alec Bradley and Mitchel Orchant from C.Gars Ltd and Turmeaus tobacconist teamed up for an exclusive Alec Bradley Orchant Selection. The Orchant Selection is a series of collaborations between cigar manufacturers and Mitchel Orchant. And for the first time ever, the usually limited edition Orchant Seleccion returns.
The Orchant Seleccion started in 2007 as a collaboration with Habanos distributor Hunters & Frankau. They approached Orchant with the idea to hand-select boxes of cigars that he thought were outstanding. Then add an ‘Orchant Seleccion’ ring and sell them exclusively through his C. Gars Ltd shop. Up till today, 18 different Cuban cigars are part of the Orchant Seleccion. But all in a limited number of boxes, and gone is gone.
But it’s not limited to just Cuban cigars. Since 2014, Orchant also has an Orchant Seleccion in non-Cuban brands. There was a Davidoff Orchant Seleccion Lancero. Regius had an Orchant Seleccion. In 2015, a three vitola Orchant Seleccion by Oliva was released. 500 boxes of each size. Alec Bradley worked with Orchant on a limited edition Orchant Seleccion by Alec Bradley, which now returns. Last year, there were three sizes of an Orchant Seleccion by Drew Estate. The lightweight, middleweight, and heavyweight.
Alec Bradley Orchant Seleccion
Even though Alec Bradley Orchant Seleccion is re-released, it’s being done with different vitolas then before. Instead of the Shorty, Chubby, and Skinny, there will be an Orchie, Pointy, and Twisty. The Orchie measures 3½x44, the Pointy is 4½x46, and the Twisty is a 5×39 Culebra.
The medium-bodied cigars are made with a Seco wrapper from Trojes, Honduras. The cigars have two binders, one from Esteli, Nicaragua. The other one from Trojes, Honduras. The filler is all Nicaraguan, from Esteli and Jalapa. The blend is exactly the same as the original Alec Bradley Orchant Seleccion release.
